Upload your website files

Publish a website after your hosting service is active.

Step by step

1. Back up your existing website before making changes.
2. Open the hosting panel and select your domain in the file manager. Confirm the document root shown for that domain.
3. Upload website files into that document root. Avoid placing an extra parent folder around the site files.
4. For database-backed applications, create a database and user, import the database, and update the application configuration securely.
5. Keep secrets and configuration files out of publicly downloadable paths. Test the website, redirects and application logs.
6. Ask support if you are unsure of the document root or PHP settings before changing them.
