Change your domain nameservers

Point a registered domain to the DNS service you want to use.

Step by step

  1. Save a copy of existing DNS records, especially email records, before switching nameservers.
  2. Open My Domains, select the domain, and find its nameserver settings.
  3. Enter at least two valid nameserver hostnames supplied by your hosting or DNS provider. Save the change.
  4. Recreate required records at the new DNS provider. Nameserver changes do not copy a DNS zone automatically.
  5. Allow cached records to expire and test website and email routing. Ask support if the registrar rejects the update.
